After several busy months of training, including attendance at international camps and intensive half-term sessions at some of the country's top clubs, Year 9 student Summer travelled to Scotland to compete in a Grand Prix event, where she secured a GOLD medal in the Under-18 category.
Summer's next challenge took her to Belgium, where she competed in the prestigious Ippon Trophy in Antwerp. Continuing her impressive form, she earned a SILVER medal in the Under-18 competition.
Last weekend, Summer travelled to Poland to take part in the Young Europe International Tournament, a major Under-18 event featuring more than 1,000 competitors from over 14 countries. Once again, Summer delivered an outstanding performance, claiming SILVER after narrowly missing out on gold in the final against the German champion.
The weekend concluded with Summer attending international training camps, where she had the opportunity to train alongside Olympians, gaining valuable experience at the highest level.
We would like to wish Summer continued success with her chosen sport - Judo is clearly a sport that she excels in and really enjoys! Well Done & Congratulations!
