Year 9 Visit to New York City

Students from St Edmund Arrowsmith Year 9 recently returned from an unforgettable trip to New York City, packed with excitement, discovery and memorable experiences.

From the moment they arrived in the city that never sleeps, pupils were immersed in the vibrant atmosphere and iconic skyline. A major highlight of the visit was seeing the world-famous Statue of Liberty, where students learned about the history of immigration and the symbolism of freedom and opportunity. Walking through Times Square was another unforgettable experience, with its bright lights, giant screens and electric energy creating a true “wow” moment for everyone.

The group also explored the impressive Empire State Building, taking in breathtaking views across the Manhattan skyline. A visit to Central Park offered a chance to relax, reflect and enjoy some snow in the heart of the bustling city.

Beyond the famous landmarks, the trip provided valuable cultural and educational experiences. Students developed their independence, strengthened friendships and represented the school with maturity and enthusiasm throughout. The laughter shared, the teamwork shown and the confidence gained made the trip truly special.

The photographs from the visit capture smiling faces and memories that will last a lifetime.

A huge thank you to the staff who organised and accompanied the trip, ensuring it was both safe and enriching. We are incredibly proud of our Year 9 students for the way they embraced every opportunity and made the most of this amazing experience.

We look forward to many more adventures in the future!
