Yesterday our year 9 pupils travelled over to Widnes to take on Wade Deacon in the North West Counties group stage with a depleted squad due to illness.  Despite this, the team team responded with a fantastic performance, blowing the opposition away in the first half with 34 unanswered points.

The 2nd half saw the lads from Wade Deacon up their aggression levels and the easy option would have been to react. However, our pupils are made of stronger stuff and refused to stoop to that level...continuing to score points to comfortably win the game.

Final score:Wade Deacon 0 - 48 Eddies  A fantastic result at this level and it should now see us qualify for the knockout stages.

The final game in the group stage is due to take place on Monday 9 February at home against Great Sankey.  The team will be looking to qualify top the group, so we will be looking for another good performance in this fixture.

Well done to: Josh Pilkington, Noah Richardson, Logan Welsh, Kian Walsh, Max Smith, Oliver Price, Joe Harold, Kian Halliwell, Max Horrocks, Ben Hardman, Tyler Whittle, Matthew Maguire, Ethan Butler, Sebastian Butler
