MFL Festival 2026: A Celebration of Languages, Culture and Talent
St Edmund Arrowsmith was buzzing with excitement as pupils took part in our highly successful MFL Festival 2026, celebrating French and Spanish language learning in a fun, interactive and authentic way.
Throughout the festival, pupils had the opportunity to purchase a variety of French and Spanish foods, confidently using their language skills to order and communicate in French and Spanish. It was fantastic to see so many students putting their classroom learning into practice and embracing the challenge of speaking another language in a real-life setting.
The event was made even more special thanks to the support of our talented Music Department. Pupils entertained pupils and staff with a range of performances, creating a vibrant festival atmosphere and showcasing the incredible musical talent within our school community.
Students also enjoyed the festival photo booth, capturing memorable moments with friends and celebrating the cultural experiences on offer. The combination of language, music, food and fun created a wonderful atmosphere enjoyed by pupils and staff alike.
The MFL Festival was a brilliant success, highlighting the importance of language learning while bringing our school community together. A huge thank you to the Modern Foreign Languages and Music Departments, as well as all the pupils who helped make the event such a memorable occasion.
We are incredibly proud of the enthusiasm, confidence and cultural curiosity shown by our students throughout the day.
