SEA gymnasts took part in the Acrobatic Gymnastics British NDP Finals over the weekend in Stoke with great success.  They travelled to Stoke-on-Trent at the weekend to compete at the Acrobatic Gymnastics NDP British Finals. They earned their places by winning the North West Regional Prelims in March. The winners from each of the 12 regions were striving to be crowned British Champions.

Emma Green and Isla Cook (both Y11) and their partner Olivia, had high hopes of a medal in the Grade 4 Women's Group category. Only coming together as a trio at the beginning of 2026, they were unbeaten in their first 3 competitions in Leeds and the regional prelims in Wigan that took them to the finals. A flawless performance earned them a mammoth score of 27.250 from the judges, putting them in the lead. There was an anxious wait as 4 more regional champions performed their routines. None could surpass the girls' score confirming them as Grade 4 British Champions. An incredible achievement for the girls who have been training hard while revising for their GCSEs!

Hattie Lloyd (Y10) competed in the Aspire Women's Group category with her partners Alice and Alexa. In a highly competitive field, the girls' trio finished 10th with a score of 24.650. Hattie can be very proud to finish in the top 10 in Britain in what is another relatively new partnership.

Former SEA student Mia Ellison (class of 2023) also won a silver medal. Competing in the IDP2 Women's Group category, the highest level at the British Finals, her trio performed two wonderful routines to make the podium, beaten only by their top class rivals from the Scotland region.

There was one final success in the regional team competition, with the North West team taking 2nd place overall behind Scotland, helped by the fantastic scores achieved by SEA gymnasts.

MANY CONGRATULATIONS to Emma, Isla, Hattie and Mia along with all the competitors – you are amazing!
